SEPTEMBER 2026 | Starting at $3000The Cali Retreat:
Central Coast Wine Country
An experience curated for those whose curiosity leads them to a longing for deeper connection: connection to the land, its wine & food, its people & sites; to a sense of place.
Led by sommelier & creative director Uznea Bauer, this will not be your typical wine tour. We’ll explore a road less traveled: producers whose practices are light-handed and sensitive to the rhythms of nature. Our pace will follow that flow, a relaxed adventure exploring the natural wine scene in one of California's most beautiful regions.

Day TwoToday we get oriented in the region by exploring the vineyard and playing some bocce ball at Presqu’il, whose wines are a quintessential example of the region and have been known and enjoyed by Uznea for years. Reset at the hotel, then go to the tasting rooms of Lo-Fi & A Tribute to Grace, both low-intervention producers from the region who are creating fun & exciting expressions. We round out our first day with a dinner at Bodega, the sister restaurant of Bells.

Day ThreeLearn & Connect
Santa Rita Hills & Lompoc
On the second day of our journey we visit one of Uznea’s favorite Californian wine producers, Sandhi, made by Master Sommelier Raj Parr. These are some of the most acclaimed wines in the “New California” wine movement. We will get to learn a lot about Raj’s farming philosophy and see the Romance Vineyard, as well as a guided tasting in their cellar. Since we will be right by the beach, we can reset with lunch and /or a beach walk, and finish the day by visiting either Spear or J. Dirt, depending on availability and the desire of the group once RSVP’s are collected.
